Change Data In Existing Chart. You can change data labels and point them to different cells using this little trick. The chart must be on the same worksheet as the data that you used to create the chart.
Click the Chart data range field and select the new data range. Click the datasheet button or simply double-click the chart to open the datasheet. Under Chart Tools on the Design tab in the Data group click Edit Data.
