Define Shape Data Dialog Box. Define Data Dialog Box You use the Define Data dialog box to choose the data service fields for an element and specify their default values. Pastes the previously-copied nodes as a subnodes of the selected node.
Object data tables store information about the objects in your drawings. Select an existing symbol that has data associated with it. Select a shape right-click click Data and then click Define Shape Data.
To create another field click New.
In the Define Shape Data dialog box click in each item and type or select a value. Select a shape right-click click Data and then click Define Shape Data. All files that have the file extensions txt asc csv or tab appear in ArcCatalog as text files by default. The New Data Graphic dialog box appears.
