Make Autoshape Or Text Box. Select the shape in Word and right-click on it. The Auto Shapes menu will close automatically and the mouse-pointer will be replaced by a thin cross-hair.
In the Format Autoshape window click on the Text Box tab and set all internal margins to 0. After you add text you can change the way the text appears inside the shape by using the options on the Text Box tab of the Format AutoShape dialog box. Now click the edge of the textbox so that just the border is highlighted you should see the little control circles for altering the text boxs size.
The user is not required to create the AutoShape or Text box in the drawing canvas however.
Is there a way to allow the contents of the text boxs to be edited or the text box. Simply click on any shape to begin the insertion process. In the Format Autoshape window click on the Text Box tab and set all internal margins to 0. There are a few pre-created Built-in options to choose from.
